FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS PAGE 1

Question : What are your hands made of?
Answer : We make our hands out of a polyurethane resin, not the stinky cheap stuff that breaks easily ( polyester ) most imports are made of. We add strengthening additives for durability. Made in the good ole U.S.A.

Question : Are your hands flexible?
Answer : No, at this time all of our hands are rigid but we are working on a flexible design and will add them to
Our site in the future.

Question : Do you make rubber hands?
Answer : We are currently working on hands that will be made of a flexible rubber. You can send us an e- mail if you would like to be contacted when they are completed. Please state weather you are interested in male or female.

Question : Do you make custom hands ETC. ?
Answer : Yes we can. A set up fee is required but if you can provide an original you will greatly reduce your initial cost. Your start-Up fees help cover our expenses for time and material required to produce a mold. A minimum quantity of 21 pieces is required. The time required to produce your custom piece for your approval depends, of course, on the custom piece that will be made. Usually 4 to 6 weeks. After your approval, production of a hand, for example, of 20 pieces would take 7 to 10 days. This production time is necessary for the paint to dry. Please call to discuss your project.

Question : Will your hands fit on my mannequin?
Answer : Usually the hands break first on a mannequin and the odds of finding an exact replacement are almost nil because there are so many different designs. Some hands are mounted with a square metal rod, others with a round rod. Still others have a totally different type of hardware. One of the options available to you with our hands is to purchase a pair that has been cast hollow. This versatile design allows you to remove your old hardware, if you still have it, and adapt it to our hands. This is usually done by filling the hollow base to a certain depth with a cheap filler material then completing the fill with " bondo " or an epoxy putty. You then set your original hardware in the base. It certainly wont be a perfect match but at least your mannequin will have hands. Another option is to use our hands that have a powerful magnet installed in the base. If your arm with the missing hand has a metal type flat plate installed then our magnetic based hands may work for you. What if you don't have the old hardware? Be creative, hardware shops sell square and round metal rods including threaded rod which can all be filed and shaped. Either way,our hollow cast hands allow you to adapt them to your specific situation.

Question : Do you repair mannequin hands?
Answer : Yes we can but consider the expense of shipping costs on top of repair costs. We do repair mannequins but they are of the vintage persuasion and are quite valuable. Hands can be repaired but matching paint is a different story. Even with computer color matching the paint will have a different appearance from the original paint. Repaired hands are returned to you primed white . We leave the painting up to you. Repairs are billed at 39.00 per hour plus shipping and materials. Send photo's of the damaged part to us for a estimate.

Question : Are these hands life size
Answer : Yes they are life size. Each detailed page of our hands will give you the dimensions.

Question : Can i put gloves on these mannequin hands?
Answer : Gloves work fine on our open finger design mannequin hands

Question : How can i hang my mannequin hands
